Coconut Oil and cancer, may inhibit growth

Health, Coconut Oil and Cancer. For thousands of years the people in and around Asian and the Pacific have used coconut oil for everything from a food to a medicine.  The people in many tropical climates, for instance the regions of Polynesia, Sri Lanka, and the Yucatan, have diets that are rich in coconut oil.  These people are universally thought of to be healthier and have less heart disease, cancer, and colon problems than Westerners.  For years the common wisdom has been that "cholesterol and saturated fats are bad for you."  However, It is now know that there are both good cholesterol and good saturated fats… Coconut oil is one such saturated fat!

To quote Dr. Mary Enig: “The research over four decades concerning coconut oil in diet and heart disease is quite clear: coconut oil has been shown to be beneficial.”

Coconut Oil and Lauric Acid

Of all the fat in coconut oil about half is lauric acid.  Lauric acid is a nutrient that supports the body’s immune system.  Lauric acid is a medium chain fatty acid.

Lauric acid has… “ the additional beneficial function of being formed into monolaurin in the human or animal body. Monolaurin is the anti-viral, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal monoglyceride used by the human or animal to destroy lipid coated viruses such as HIV, herpes, cytomegalovirus, influenza, various pathogenic bacteria!” according to research by Dr. Mary Enig.

Coconut Oil Miracle: cancer research conducted over many decades, shows that ALL mice exposed to cancer via carcinogens got cancer, EXCEPT for those who had been given coconut oil. It is a very potent anti-cancer remedy that every single person can take for pennies a day.

Coconut Oil and Cancer

As with the omega-3 fatty acids, experiments designed to uncover the effect of fat intake on cancer development have revealed that, compared to common vegetable oils high in the omega-6 linoleic acid, coconut oil fats induce less promotion of breast tumors.[1] Thus, virgin coconut oil can be used as a food component that may complement the anti-malignancy effects of flaxseed oil and fish oil.  Read more:

In 1987, Lim-Sylianco published a 50-year literature review showing coconut oil’s anti-cancer properties. In colon and breast cancer, coconut oil was found to be far more protective than unsaturated oils. For example: 32% of corn oil eaters got colon cancer but only 3% of coconut oil eaters did.
