Virgin coconut oil is usually a solid at room temperatures, but at higher temperatures it becomes a liquid.  The easiest way to store virgin coconut oil for use as a skin treatment is in a small resealable container near the changing area for the baby.  By placing the oil in a separate container you will not be contaminating the rest of the container when you stick your fingers into it.

Virgin coconut oil is very easy to apply, whether to the diaper area or the head for cradle cap relief.  All you will need to do is stick your fingers into the container and get some on your fingertips.  You will need to move fairly quickly because the heat from your fingers will cause the oil to become liquid.  Once you have the oil on your fingers, you will simply rub your fingers over the affected areas.

Virgin coconut oil is great because it will not stain most fabrics and is able to be washed out.  This makes it ideal for use with cloth diapers since it will not cause the diapers to repel.
